1. ambush (n) [ˈæmˌbʊʃ]
An attack from a hidden position.
EX: The citizens wouldn’t surrender, and armed for an ambush.
2. ruckus (n.) [ˈrʌkəs]
A fight, or a noisy argument.
EX: When the armies sitting in council got wind of the ruckus with the cattle.
3. feudal (a.) ['fjudḷ]
connected with or similar to feudalism
EX: The kingdom of Normandy is a feudal society.
4. tract (n.)
an area of land, especially a large one
a short piece of writing, especially on a religious, moral or political subject, that is intended to influence people's ideas
EX: To the north of the river is an immense tract.
5. surplus (n.) ['sɝpləs]
an amount that is extra or more than you need
EX: Any surplus can be trimmed away.
