a friend, especially one who you have been involved in difficult or dangerous, usually military, activities with
EX: Many of his comrades were killed in the battle.

a complaint or a strong feeling that you have been treated unfairly
EX: The small amount of compensation is a further source of grievance to the people forced to leave their homes.
3. eclipse (n.) [ɪˈklɪps]
when the sun disappears from view, either completely or partly, while the moon is moving between it and the Earth, or when the moon becomes darker while the shadow of the Earth moves over it
EX: On Wednesday there will be a total eclipse of the sun.

when you believe that something is true without having any proof
EX: The presumption of innocence is central to British law.
5. repeal (v.) [rɪˈpiːl]
If a government repeals a law, it causes that law no longer to have any legal force.
EX: We're campaigning for a/the repeal of the abortion laws.
